About the Cultural Arts Committee
Northvale’s
new Cultural Arts Committee is hard at work planning an array
of family-friendly activities, ranging from live concerts and
movies in the parks to assembling field trips to cultural centers
in our area.
The
Committee was approved by the Mayor & Council
in April 2006 to plan and execute a variety of events for the
enrichment of the
citizens of Northvale. The goal is to stage one or two events in
the parks this fall, with a broader array of offerings on the way
in 2007. The Cultural Arts Committee is a non-partisan group of
dedicated volunteers who will work with residents, other Northvale
departments, town officials and local businesses to bring sponsored
entertainment and educational initiatives to our citizens.
The
Committee—which will be funded by donations and event
sponsorships—received its first donation on June 15 from
the Northvale tribe of The Red Men, America’s oldest national
fraternal organization, which traces its roots back to the Revolutionary
War.
