are Monday and Thursday by an outside contractor.

Spring Clean-Up/Grass Barrel Pick Up
Begins on May 4th and Continues through October 6th
- Grass and leaves are picked up in barrels no larger than 32 Gallons for Spring Clean Up. Do NOT rake leaves or grass to the curb and DO NOT put in bags of any kind. Grass barrel pick up includes hedge trimmings, weeds and rakings.
- DO NOT put branches in barrels. Stack branches at curb line (not in the street) with ends facing the same direction. Barrels containing branches will NOT be picked up. Branches may be up to 12 FT in length.
- Do not put rocks, dirt or grass sod into the barrels.
- Branches 3 FT and under must be bundled and tied with twine and placed at the curb-line.
- Place stumps and logs separately from branches.
- Tuesday’s are EAST side pickup ( Veteran’s Drive to the Clinton Avenue railroad tracks)
- Wednesday’s are WEST side pick up ( Briarwood Lane to the Old Tappan Border)

Stormwater
Management
Due
to new Stormwater Regulations, all residents are required to
put all grass clippings, leaves and small brush into
barrels for pick up as they will not be vacuumed
at the curb.
Borough Ordinance #555-86
As
per borough ordinance #555-86 it prohibits landscapers or tree
companies from leaving any debris at the
curb for pickup.
Tree
Trimming
If
you have any questions about tree trimming, please call 201-767-0210.
Sewer
Back Up?
If
you have a problem, you must know where the clean out is located
on your property in order for us to be able to help you. Call
the DPW at 201-767-0210.
Recycling
Information
Acceptable
Items:
Paper & Cardboard: Newspaper,
magazines, junk mail, envelopes (remove plastic windows), telephone
books, soft cover books, brown paper bags, computer paper,
cereal boxes, toy and gift boxes, tissue boxes, food boxes,
greeting cards, wrapping paper and corrugated cardboard.
Plastics: Beverage
containers, detergent and bleach bottles, shampoo bottles,
squeezable bottles such as ketchup and mustard.
Glass: Clear
bottles, green bottles and brown bottles and aluminum cans.
White
Goods: (stoves, refrigerators, etc.) are picked
up by the DPW by appointment only. Please call 201-767-0210.
Only
put trash out the night before scheduled pick up.
